Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This policy explains what personal data Jiannius Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (“Jiannius”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit jiannius.com, contact us, or message us on WhatsApp, and what we do with it. We follow Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

2. What we collect

Only what you choose to give us, plus the basics any website receives:

• Details you send us: your name, company, email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us about your project, by email, phone or WhatsApp.
• Business records: if you become a client, the details we need to quote, invoice and support you (company name, billing address, contact person).
• Technical data: this website has no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies. Our website host (GitHub Pages) and Google Fonts, which serves our typeface, may log your IP address and browser details when your browser loads the page.

3. Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote or proposal.
• To deliver, support and invoice the work you hire us for.
• To keep the accounting and legal records Malaysian law requires.
• To tell existing clients about changes that affect their service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. WhatsApp and other messages

We use WhatsApp Business to talk to people who have contacted us first or who have asked to hear from us. We do not message numbers we bought, scraped or collected without permission.

You can stop messages at any time: reply STOP or tell us at hello@jiannius.com, and we will not message you again unless you contact us first. WhatsApp messages are also processed by WhatsApp and Meta under their own terms and privacy policy.

5. Who we share it with

Only the people who need it to do the job:

• Service providers we rely on, such as website hosting, email, WhatsApp (Meta), accounting software and payment gateways, and only for the purpose we engaged them.
• Professional advisers (accountants, lawyers, auditors).
• Government or law-enforcement bodies where the law requires it.

6. Data stored outside Malaysia

Some of our providers store data in other countries. Where they do, we use providers with reasonable security safeguards, and we share only what is needed.

7. Data we handle for our clients

When we build or run software for a client, the personal data of the client’s own customers belongs to that client. We handle it only on the client’s instructions and under our agreement with them. If you are one of their customers, please contact the client first.

8. How long we keep it, and how we protect it

We keep enquiries only as long as we need them for the reason you gave them to us, usually up to two years if no project follows. Accounting and tax records are kept for as long as Malaysian law requires (generally seven years). We use access controls and reasonable technical measures to protect what we hold, but no system is perfectly secure.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, stop using it for a purpose, or delete it where we have no legal reason to keep it. Email hello@jiannius.com. We will reply within 21 days. We may need to confirm who you are first.

10. Children

This website is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting existing clients will be sent to them directly.
